Business Process Improvement (BPI) Group was established in 2008 by Dr. Andriy Sergeyev and Professor Alfredo Moscardini as a management consultancy firm based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The company’s mission is to promote operational excellence across Eastern Europe, with a focus on Ukraine, and to become the leading Ukrainian consultancy in Lean methodologies.

In partnership with PwC Ukraine and Business School Krok, BPI Group launched and manages the annual Lean Forum in Kyiv. This event is the largest gathering of companies in the region, featuring prominent international speakers from organizations like the Lean Global Network, the Shingo Institute, TOCPA, and others.

BPI Group has provided training and consulting services to many of Ukraine's top manufacturers. In 2017, it established the Lean Simulation Factory to deliver hands-on Lean Six Sigma training. Additionally, BPI Group is developing an in-house MBA program in operational excellence, in collaboration with a Kyiv-based private business school affiliated with two British universities.
