Abel Gomez, an industrial engineer with an MBA specializing in marketing and sales, has more than 30 years’ industrial experience. Mr. Gomez served as director of the Shingo educational partnership with ITESM in Queretaro from 2010 to 2013, and he has been an advisor to most of the LATAM companies to receive Shingo recognition. He is now founder of the Opex Academy, a company that has offered more workshops and events in Latin America than any other organization and is one of the Shingo Institute's highest performing licensed affiliates of all time. During his career as a Shingo Master Trainer, Mr. Gomez has trained over 2,000 top executives, taught over 400 Shingo Alumni, and consulted with more than 200 large companies to help them develop operational and enterprise excellence in Mexico, the United States, Latin America, and Europe, while embracing the principles of the ideal state. In 2023, Mr. Gomez was inducted into the Shingo Academy.
