Dr. Andriy Sergeyev earned his PhD in management sciences from the University of Sunderland in 2004, specializing in systems science and its application in management solutions. His introduction to Lean manufacturing began through collaboration with former Nissan (UK) managers who exposed him to the principles of operational excellence. This experience led to a pivotal project developing the production system for NORD, a leading Ukrainian appliance manufacturer, and ultimately to the founding of BPI Group. Dr. Sergeyev has made significant contributions to operational excellence, including the creation of various Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma training programs and the facilitation of over 100 corporate seminars. He has also designed and taught an operations management course for the MBA program at Donetsk State University and co-founded the Lean Forum, Ukraine's largest annual Lean conference, which draws internationally recognized speakers.
