Philippe Burq is a senior expert at McKinsey & Company’s Santiago office. He joined the firm in 2010 and has focused his work on operational excellence. With experience in a variety of industries (mining: open pit, underground, and smelters; processing plants; and freight rail), Mr. Burq has helped his clients improve some of their core processes while implementing Lean practices and systems that drive new behaviors and significantly improve performance. Mr. Burq earned engineering degrees from Ecole Centrale de Lille (France) and Pontificia Universidad Catolica (Chile), as well as a master’s degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in operations.
